  • Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, Break the Cycle 

    he repercussions of teen dating violence are impossible to ignore – they hurt not just the young people victimized but also their families, friends, schools and communities. Throughout February, organizations and individuals nationwide are coming together to highlight the need to educate young people about dating violence, teach healthy relationship skills and prevent the devastating cycle of abuse. www.teendvmonth.org.

  • Recovery Coach Academy

    Are you interested in supporting individuals who are experiencing an addiction? The Recovery Coach Academy is a 5 day skill building workshop for individuals who would like to become Recovery Coaches. Contact the Office of Consumer Affairs and Community Outreach for more information at 304-558-0627.

  • Mental Health First Aid

    Like CPR, Mental Health First Aid prepares workshop participants to interact with a person in crisis and connect the person with help. This 8-hour course uses role-playing and simulations to demonstrate how to offer initial help in a mental health crisis and connect persons to the appropriate professional, peer, social, and self-help care.
