The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, Bureau for Public Health will hold a meeting of the Public Health Impact Task Force (PHITF) on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 9:00 a.m., at Holiday Inn and Suites in South Charleston, WV.
The meeting will include a presentation on the formation and organization of the Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department by Drema Mace and Patricia White, an update on PHITF survey results and Task Force work group reports. A full agenda is attached.
PHITF meetings are open to the public and include a public comment period.
Dr. Rahul Gupta, State Health Officer and Commissioner for the Bureau for Public Health, commissioned the PHITF with membership comprising of representatives from BPH, local health departments, private and public partner organizations, and policy makers. The goal of the PHITF is to redefine the mission of public health in West Virginia by making recommendations to define structural and organizational changes required to revolutionize the public health system.
