  • National Problem Gambling Awareness Month 

    This grassroots public awareness and outreach campaign’s goal is to educate the general public and healthcare professionals about the warning signs of problem gambling and to raise awareness about the help that is available both locally and nationally. March 1 – 31 annually. www.npgaw.org.

  • Recovery Coach Academy

    Are you interested in supporting individuals who are experiencing an addiction? The Recovery Coach Academy is a 5 day skill building workshop for individuals who would like to become Recovery Coaches. Contact the Office of Consumer Affairs and Community Outreach for more information at 304-558-0627.

  • Mental Health First Aid

    Like CPR, Mental Health First Aid prepares workshop participants to interact with a person in crisis and connect the person with help. This 8-hour course uses role-playing and simulations to demonstrate how to offer initial help in a mental health crisis and connect persons to the appropriate professional, peer, social, and self-help care.
