Co-pays and Alternative Benefit Plan

In an effort to maximize transparency, the West Virginia Bureau for Medical Services (BMS) has posted draft versions of the proposed co-payments and essential health benefits included in the Alternative Benefit Plan (ABP) for the Medicaid expansion coverage group.

BMS originally posted a draft version of the corresponding ABP State Plan Amendment (SPA) for public comment. After a call with the Center for Medicaid Services (CMS), the Bureau decided to take down the draft SPA to incorporate the additional guidance from CMS. A revised ABP SPA will be posted at a future date for comment and the Bureau will schedule a separate meeting with the Medical Services Fund Advisory Council to formally introduce this SPA.

The Bureau is posting the proposed co-payments and the benefits included in the Alternative Benefit Plan ahead of the meeting in order to provide ample time for public review. Click on links below to view.
