Campers

So, You're Going to Camp!

West Virginia is a great place to camp and hike and canoe and fish and go whitewater rafting, rock climbing, and mountain biking.. and... To make sure you are going to have fun, first make sure you are going to be safe.

Your parent or guardian will get your shots up to date and take you to the doctor for a check-up before going to camp. Talk to your parent or guardian about what you learn about camp safety and what you want to know about camp safety.

When you get to camp, your counselor will also talk to you about rules in the camp to stay safe. Remember to let your camp leaders know if you don't feel well or if you get hurt. If you let someone know, they can help you get back to enjoying camp.
