Camp Staff

Being a youth camp leader can be one of the most memorable events in your life. One of the best things you can do as a camp leader is ensure that youth campers understand some basic health safety information to reduce illness and serious injury. Empowering young people to make healthy decisions can lead to a positive camp experience.

Before kids come to camp, they should be properly vaccinated. You should also check with your doctor to make sure your immunizations are up to date. Immunizations protect you and your campers against possible disease outbreaks.

Knowledge leads to prevention. Click on the conversation starter tips for camp counselors and administrators and see how you can start a conversation about safety with your campers.
