HPCD works with health systems, community organizations, and partners across West Virginia to reduce obesity and improve health outcomes through policy, system, and environmental changes. One way we do this is through the sharing of best practices.
The Health Policy Library is comprised of example former or current local and statewide informal/formal physical activity and nutrition resources, agreements, policies and/or guidance adopted in West Virginia. HPCD encourages you to use these as models to improve or create policies in your community.
For more information, please contact HPCD at 304-356-4193 or jessica.g.wright@wv.gov
Please be advised that the following policy examples are provided as guidance only and are not all-inclusive of the requirements for the elements and factors.
Additional details and specific documentation may be required, see policy definitions in the "Additional Resources" section.
