Ebola, Measles, Enterovirus D68 Top Health Headlines in 2014

The Ebola epidemic was easily the most talked about medical story of the year. The virus broke out in several countries in West Africa and caused a widespread panic here in the United States. NY1's Cheryl Wills filed part one in her series looking back at the top medical stories of the year.

2014 marked the largest outbreak in the history of Ebola.

Three West African Countries: Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea were hardest hit and a small number of cases spread to Nigeria, Mali and Senegal.

However, widespread panic ensued when Americans were infected, sparking a media firestorm.
