Report - Ohio among worst-prepared states for handling infectious diseases

Health officials in Ohio have been quick to say they’re ready for emerging health threats including Ebola, but a new national report finds that the state is among the worst-prepared for combating infectious diseases both common and rare.
Two nonprofit groups — Trust for America’s Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation — judged states’ abilities to prevent, detect and respond to outbreaks based on 10 measures.
